MEDIA CITY SALFORD QUAYS
Completed in August 2009 this 2116 space MSCP was one of the first projects handed over as part of the first phase of the re-development of 36 acres of the Salford Quays to form Media City.
The fully pre-cast structure provides parking over 11 floors with the ground level incorporating the development M&E energy centre and commercial units.
Following on from the concept design by Chapman Taylor this design build project was constructed as a curved structure combining the versatility of S.C.C.’s pre-cast concrete systems with fully clad elevations using a mix of expanded aluminium mesh panels and shaded aluminium tiles.
An external pre-cast access ramp to the first parking level overcomes the additional height requirement at ground floor level for the incorporation of the complex development energy centre.
